Long time, no post....

I need to really keep up with this better. I guess it's just going to have to take some getting used to doing this bloggy thing.

Anyway, alot has happened since my last post in February. I think I'll go month by month so I won't forget anything & I can get this updated.

February:

Well, like I said in my last post my dad made it through his lip surgery fine. Mom ended up having to turn around before they got too far from Enid because dad's lip started bleeding heavily & it frightened both of them. The doctor got the bleeding under control and they made it home without any more incidents. The next couple of days were rough for him but he made it through and now is pretty much completely healed. I think the feeling is not quite completely back yet but in time it will come back mostly.

Heath & I thoroughly enjoyed our Anniversary/Valentine's Day weekend. The bed & breakfast that we found this year was very nice. It was kinda secluded so we felt like the only two people there. The room was really nice. The bed could have been bigger. (We sleep in a king size at home & that bed was only a queen, not as much room for the both of us.) The breakfast was great. I recommend this B&B to anyone. We stayed at the Willow Way B&B in OKC. Just google it. They have their own website.

March:

Bailey had some softball games throughout the month of March. It was kinda half & half on who won them. I think she's getting pretty good. Her coach is actually wanting her to start learning how to pitch for the slow-pitch games which are done in the Spring.

All three kids went to Greenfield for the week of Spring Break. It was kinda weird because I only had one daycare kid that week too so we just did what we wanted. We went to the park every single day. It was really nice. On Thursday of that week I went to get the kids from Greenfield and when Heath got home @ noon we headed to Missouri to spend a couple of days with his parents. It was awesome. I really enjoyed myself. Some women get stuck with a not-so-great mother-in-law but I could not have picked a better one if I had tried. Jack & Susan were both there and we had so much fun. On Friday we decided to go down to the river on their new place & have a cook-out and just let the kids play. It was a little chilly but the kids didn't care. Jakson loved being able to wade in the water & just get himself wet. None of us wanted to leave. Saturday we went to the park and then watched movies that afternoon/evening. It was very relaxing. Sunday we went to church with them and really had a good time. After we ate lunch it was time to come back home. It took us so long to get home because people on the turnpike didn't know how to drive. Anyway, we really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to go back.

The last Saturday of March Bailey, my sister & I went to a crop to benefit Relay for Life. It was really cold that day & I really didn't know if I would like going because we didn't know anyone that would be there except for each other. The event was from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. I really didn't think we would stay too long after lunch but we got there around 9:30 and stayed until 5:30! I got alot done and had some great ideas to do some more at the next crop. Yeah for scrapbooking.

April:

April had more softball games for Bailey. She had a tournament on the 18th in Sterling. It was a loose 2 and you're done type of thing. They won their first game but lost their second one. So they went straight over to play their third game with very little rest in between and lost that one too. I was so proud of them because they were the only team that had to play 3 games in a row. They did not let the other teams skunk them so they did their best in my eyes. Go OWLS!

Jakob had a land run at school on the 23rd. Heath took his half day that day & we went to see him "stake his land". It was cute watching them run to find a place to lay their blankets down so they could eat lunch on "their land".

I took Bailey to the eye doctor on the 24th and she had to get glasses. She picked out some really cute frames and was excited to get them back. It was supposed to take them 2 weeks to come in.

May:

On the 1st and 2nd of May Bailey & I went to the Mother/Daughter Cook-out & Sleepover at our church. We had the cook-out first in the gym. We had a caterer come & make hamburgers & hotdogs with all the fixin's. It was great. There were alot of mothers and daughters that came to the cook-out. We had a bubble gum blowing contest which was hilarious. Bailey tried her hand at it but wasn't very successful. The bubble gum wasn't very big to begin with so it wouldn't blow a very big bubble. Then most of the mothers and daughters left. There were about 13 of us that lasted the entire night. Bailey & I were among them. We slept on the floor. (Which is concrete might I add). And on top of everything a storm came through that night. With hail & everything! The roof on the church is METAL. Anyway, not much sleep was had by me that night. But we had a blast. We "went to bed" around 2:30 in the morning. I don't remember the last time I stayed up that late, on purpose. But I'm glad we went and I'm glad Bailey had fun.

Jakob's end of year field trip was May 6th. Heath & I both took off work to go. They were supposed to go to the Little River Zoo in Norman but it had rained so much the week before they decided to go to the new bowling alley here in Chickasha instead. They divided the classes into groups of 4 and let them play about 2 games. Jakson & I played one. We had fun.

On the 7th Bailey had her end of year Awards assembly. She did awesome. She got the math award, geography award, science award, a coupld of other awards and she is now a member of the Oklahoma Junior High Honor Society. I am so proud.

Jakob had a "Fun Day" on the 15th. The teacher had sent a note home letting us know about it in advance. They were going to have a concession stand so they wanted us to know how much items would be for them to purchase. They also said to send an extra change of clothes because they would be able to play in water. My thoughts were that they would get a little wet but not too bad. Well, my son (who has RED hair) got off the bus with BROWN hair. Which I could see from my front door to where the bus stops at the edge of our driveway. He was filthy. He said that his coach told them they could get as muddy as they wanted and no one would get in trouble. I was livid. It took a bath & 2 showers to get him clean. It was not pretty. But he had a blast so I guess that is what matters. Right?

The last week of school was very exciting for Jakob. On the 18th he had a beach party, were he got to wear his swimming trunks (and a T-shirt) to school as well as bring a beach towel. On the 19th they made homemade ice cream. On the 20th they had a "camp fire" in their classroom which they got to read around. And on the last day of school they had an awards assembly which I was able to go to. He got several awards as well. He got the Superintendent's Honor Roll. I really never thought Jakob would be one to do super good in school but he is my A student also. We brought him home with us after the awards assembly.

So now I am the mom of an 8th grader, a 2nd grader and an almost 3 year old. WOW. Time sure has gone by quickly.

The last weekend of this month we took a trip to Tulsa to visit one of Heath's cousins. She and her family live in Jenks. We drove to Tulsa Friday night after Heath got home and spent the night at one of my aunt's house. On Saturday we got up and went to his counsin's house to attend her son's 1st birthday party. It was great to catch up with her and I am looking forward to getting to go to her wedding in August. After the birthday party we took the kids to the Aquarium in Jenks. We have been there before but not since Jakson is old enough to really understand things. He really liked looking at all the fish. The only party he DID NOT like was the shark tunnel. He did not want to be in the tunnel with all the sharks going over us. It was really funny. On Sunday we got up and went to the Tulsa Zoo. We have been there several times before also but just wanted to go again since Jakson is a little older to get what we're doing there. We had a really good time.

June:

Not much has happened so far this month except all 3 of my kids are in Greenfield until the 12th. It has been a little strange not having at least one of them here but I know they are having fun there.

I still have my daycare open this summer so I'm still busy during the day. I enjoy that alot and am glad I have this type of job.

Well, I guess I'll close this blog for now. I will try to keep it up more from now on. Hope you've enjoyed it.

Until next time,

Liana
