Our June has been quiet and uneventful. Which is such a great thing.

On June 1st, my dad and grandma came to get all 3 kids. They stayed in Greenfield from June 1st to June 12th. I enjoyed the first week without them for the most part. We had a family reunion in Geary on June 6th which we got to see them. Jakson was the one who had changed the most. He was talking like someone I didn't know. It was hard to leave them but we did because that would be the only time they would probably get to spend in Greenfield this summer. The second week was really hard for me. I still had daycare kids both weeks during the day but at night I just wanted them to be home. I missed them so much. On Friday the 12th, Bubba & I went to OKC after work to pick up a DS for Bailey. I called Mom on her cell phone on our way back & she said they had just passed Cherokee and was going to stop in El Reno at McDonald's to eat supper. Bubba & I decided to make a detour to El Reno to surprise them. I told Mom what we had planned but asked her to keep it a surprise. We got to McDonald's after they did so we had to sneak in. Which wasn't too hard. They were sitting in the play area against the wall. Jakob saw me first and said "Mama" and Bailey turned around to see who in the world he was calling Mama. She was the first one to me. I have never felt such relief to see my babies. I drove the van back to Chickasha with Bailey & Jakson & my mom. Bubba drove her pickup with Jakob & my dad. It was awesome to bring Bailey & Jakson home to see Daddy.

My birthday was June 15th and I took off that entire week. On my actual birthday I didn't do a whole lot. But the morning after we started mudding and sanding and painting. I needed to finish painting one of my walls in my kitchen for over 6 months & had decided to do that this week. We also needed to get the rest of Bailey's room painted. By Thursday night, we had the kitchen finished, Bailey's room finished and mud almost ready to be sanded. I am looking forward to getting it all done.

Well, I'd better close for now. Hope you've enjoyed this new blog. Again, I'll try to keep it more up to date.

Until next time,

Liana

  1. I'm so glad you had time to be by yourself, and that they had time with their grandparents! Both are so important!!! It is hard to be away from them though...So glad you are all back together, and that you even got some projects done on your house!!!!
