Well, August has been great for my weight loss. I am down 14 pounds & yesterday I decided to go to Old Navy to try on some jeans. I've been wearing the same clothes even though I've lost weight because I really didn't see the results myself. Almost everyone around me said that they could tell I was loosing but I guess since I was wearing the same clothes I couldn't see it myself. I have been wearing a size 18 for quite some time now. I decided that I would take in a size 16 and a size 14. I was kinda sceptical that I could get into the 14 but decided that I would try it anyway. I tried the 16 on first and it was too big. I did a happy dance right there in the dressing room. But then of course my mind was telling me that there would be no way I would be able to already fit into a size 14 so I got a little sad for a little bit. Then I just bit my lip & pulled on the 14's. THEY FIT!!!!! I was so excited. I came out of the dressing room & one of the workers even commented on how they looked really good on me. At first I thought they were a little tight but the longer I stood there & looked at them I could see that they weren't tight, they just fit. I haven't been able to wear a size 14 since before Bailey was born which is almost 14 years ago. I did a bigger happy dance after that. I almost wanted to wear them out of the store. But it being kinda warm outside made me change my mind. I wore a pair of dressy jean capris and until I had tried the jeans on in Old Navy really didn't notice that the capris were actually almost falling off of me. It was kinda sad that I had to wear a pair of capris all day that were so big. But I am so excited that I am down 2 pant sizes. I have even been wearing a smaller size in shirts. I can't wait until I am down to my goal weight & can go buy a whole new closet full of clothes. My goal is to get down to 165 lbs. before Christmas. As of yesterday, I weighed 177 lbs. so I have 12 lbs. more to go. I know I'm gonna make it. I've decided that in addition to my walking every night, I am going to start doing yoga 3 times a week. I should be able to get it off a little faster that way & maybe start getting rid of the preggo tummy that I so desperately want to see go bye-bye. That is pretty much what started all this because I was so tired of looking in the mirror and seeing myself almost look pregnant when I haven't been (& can't be again) for over 3 years. I just need to get it off. And I know I'm on the right track.

  1. YAYYYY!!! I'm so excited!!!! I keep meaning to start Zumba because I've heard that helps you lose weight and I'm better about doing something organized...I just can't be consistent with walking. You are motivating me...keep up the good work!!! You are looking fantastic!!!
